A WisDM Metrics dashboard gives you a fleet-wide starting point. You can review online and offline status, gateway resources, connectivity, and LoRaWAN performance without moving between individual gateway pages.
You begin by selecting the period and gateways you want to review. These dashboard-level controls update the scope across the widgets. This allows the same dashboard to examine the wider fleet or a narrower set of gateways without rebuilding each chart.
Charts reveal how measurements change over time, while single-value widgets summarize important conditions at a glance. When an unusual value or trend appears, tables and filters help identify the gateways contributing to it. Data can be narrowed using labels such as location, gateway serial number, and firmware version.
From there, you can open the affected gateway’s device page for closer examination. The workflow moves from reviewing fleet conditions, spotting an exception, narrowing the results, and identifying the relevant gateway to beginning device-level troubleshooting.
WisDM Metrics does not replace detailed gateway investigation. It helps you answer the question that comes first: Which gateway should I investigate?
Build Dashboards Without Query Language
WisDM Metrics organizes monitoring through projects, dashboards, and widgets.
Projects create a workspace for related monitoring needs, such as a customer deployment, region, or internal team.
Each project can contain multiple dashboards, so operators can separate fleet availability, cellular backhaul, gateway resources, and LoRaWAN packet behavior instead of placing every measurement in one view.
Each dashboard is built from individual widgets. A widget displays the measurements and visualization needed to answer a specific operational question, whether that means following a trend, comparing gateway values, or identifying readings that require closer attention.
You can select the relevant gateways, metric, filters, and chart type directly through the WisDM interface. A preview shows how the widget will appear before it is added to the dashboard, so no query language is required.
Choose the View That Answers the Question
WisDM Metrics supports several widget types for presenting gateway data. The right view depends on whether you need one fleet value, a trend over time, a comparison, a distribution, or the gateways behind a result.
Value chart
A value chart highlights one measurement in a large, readable format. Use it when you need an immediate answer to a direct question, such as how many industrial gateways for LoRaWAN meet a selected condition.
Line chart
A line chart follows a measurement continuously across the selected period. It helps you identify spikes, drops, repeated fluctuations, or gradual movement that may not be obvious from a single value.
Bar chart
A bar chart makes values across separate intervals easier to compare. You can quickly see which periods recorded higher or lower measurements without following a continuous line.
Stacked bar chart
A stacked bar chart displays related measurements within the same intervals. It helps you compare the total value while also seeing how each measurement contributes to it.
Area chart
An area chart emphasizes the magnitude of a measurement as it changes over time. The filled area makes overall volume, sustained increases, and sharp changes easier to recognize.
Pie chart
A pie chart shows how a total is distributed among a small number of categories. You can compare each category’s share using the segment size, value, and percentage shown in the legend.
Table
A table identifies the specific gateways contributing to a result. You can review gateway names alongside details such as location, serial number, EUI, and the selected measurement, then open the relevant device or location page.
Widget settings such as legends, thresholds, metric colors, and filters are configured in the widget builder. A live preview shows how the selected view will present the data before it is added to the dashboard.
This structure keeps monitoring organized as deployments grow. One project can hold a fleet-wide health dashboard alongside narrower dashboards for a particular location, customer, or operational requirement. Teams can begin with a broad view, then move to the dashboard and widget that provide the detail needed for investigation.
