The Extension framework allows users to:

- Provide specialized functionalities beyond standard gateway capabilities.
- Simplify maintenance and updates, facilitating easier upgrades without overhauling the entire system.
Empowering Gateways with New Extensions
Our latest releases from December 2024 to February 2025 enhance gateway operations and reliability:
- Operation & Maintenance Extension: Features scheduled reboots and network status monitoring, crucial for maintaining connectivity, especially in systems using 4G connections.
- Field Test Extension: Supports backend computing for RAK field tester devices, enabling real-time network performance analysis.
- Failover Reboot Extension: Continuously monitors network links, automatically rebooting the LTE module or gateway during complete outages to minimize manual interventions.
These extensions are now available for installation through the WisGateOS 2 Extension Gallery, simplifying your network management significantly.

- Breathing Light & Custom Logo: Personalize your gateway’s LED behaviors and add your logo via the Web UI.
- Country Settings & Open/Close Port: Manage channel availability and set traffic rules to ensure compliance and enhance security.
- Solar Battery & WireGuard: Monitor solar battery performance and set up secure VPN connections, improving both efficiency and security.

RAK3172 with Enhanced TCXO

The Sensor Hub now supports generic RS485 configuration via the WisToolBox, allowing for seamless integration with any Modbus sensor.
